Edmond Youth Group (EYG)
The youth group at the Edmond Church of Christ strives daily to allow God to mold us into selfless Christians. We look only to God, for He gives us the strength and ability to serve Him and others. It is the goal of our youth ministry to take students to a higher level of faith, beyond the issues of teen life, and plant ourselves beside the cross of Christ daily.
Wednesday Class
Each Wednesday night our youth, grades 7 to 12, gather to lift up our hearts to God. This worship service is conducted by our young men and is one of our strongest activities. We are able to let go of the problems of school, sports, and activities and focus on praising God. This activity is special because it allows us to reach out to many teenagers that are looking to praise God with us. The Youth Praise Night also teaches us how to worship God, and how to lead in a worship setting.
Poncha Springs, CO, Mission Trip
For many years the youth of the Edmond Church of Christ have been given the opportunity to serve God through mission efforts. Every July we enjoy traveling to Colorado to host a Vacation Bible School for the children and teens of Poncha Springs. This trip is a time when our youth shine. They lead and serve in every capacity, as they prepare their classes, decorate the church building, and most importantly, touch the hearts of many kids.
The youth ministry is also involved in Bible studies, retreats, summer camps, McAllen mission trip, service projects, Winterfest, intergenerational ministries, “Every Young Man/Young Woman’s Battle” series, Leadership Training for Christ, and much more.
